Hypertherm’s Omax (Hanover, NH) introduced the OptiMAX, a new generation of waterjet designed to quickly turn prints into parts while relying less on highly experienced operators. It is designed for manufacturers in need of a versatile, easy-to-use cutting system. The system offers OMAX’s IntelliMAX software for optimized cutting capability and power, along with improved automation.
The system includes the EnduroMAX pump, which automatically sets the correct pressure and minimizes fluctuations to improve component life. The IntelliVISOR console provides key metrics to optimize operations and complete system monitoring.
The IntelliTRAX abrasive jet linear drive system with advanced motion control increases system robustness and reliability. It provides 350 in/min (8.9 m/min) traverse with real-time closed-loop positioning feedback.
The system features a new garnet delivery system and has a 12 inch (305 mm) programmable Z-axis travel with a low ceiling height requirement. The Standard Rapid Water Level Control for cleaner and quieter submerged cutting completes most work below 80 dBA.
