At FABTECH 2026 in Las Vegas, HSG (Addison, IL) brought its Store Pro system that automates material for laser cutting, and is designed to address the following issues:
- Labor shortages
- Limited plant height
- Low machine utilization and output
- Difficult to manage materials and finished goods
- Flexibility
Addressing this last point first, Store Pro can be configured several ways. Besides supplying the laser with material, finished goods can go back into Store Pro’s towers. Additionally, a fabricator can use Store Pro to sort by pallet, or (optionally) by sheet.
The system’s automation advantage means a reduction in waiting time for material handling by logistics staff. The Store Pro makes the load/unload time shorter by using synchronous processes. Your laser can be fully utilized—the idea is to keep the laser cutting as much as possible rather than waiting for materials to be loaded or parts and skeletons to be removed. In addition, the Store Pro can be deployed in a two-machine connection configuration, doubling its benefit.
Two versions are available—the Store Pro 3015, and the Store Pro 4020. The 3015 version has a maximum loading size of 3048 x 1524 mm and the 4020 has a maximum of 4064 x 2032 mm. The 3015 has a maximum sheet weight of 600 kg, while the 4020 has a maximum sheet weight of 1200 kg.
