The flexibility and reach in this setup allow a single camera to inspect massive or deeply self-occluded parts from multiple angles in a fraction of the time.
If the camera is mounted over a running conveyor belt, it can locate parts without stopping the line. Even at high conveyor speeds, the camera maps high-resolution color to the 3D geometry without motion blur. In static scene situations, the instant snapshot feature eliminates errors caused by ambient machine vibration. If a robot misses a pick, the MotionCam-3D Color allows for an immediate re-scan and re-try.
