The new ByBend Smart from Bystronic (Hoffman Estates, IL) provides flexible and rapid bending with three supported automation options. The ByBend Smart features insert and stroke length expansion option, extending the insert height for bending tools from 480 mm to 580 mm and allowing manufacturers to process parts with lower bending edges. The machine’s main drive is only active when the machine is actually in operation, reducing power consumption.
Bystronic offers the ByBend in four models: 100, 160, 225, and 300 tons. The system features a bending length of 3100-4100 mm, daylight of 580 mm, a standard stroke of 300 mm, and a maximum working speed of 19 mm/secnd.
Bystronic additionally offers the ByCell Bend Smart as a supported automation option. The ByCell Bend Smart is available with a robot payload of 20, 80, or 130 kg and a maximum part size of approximately 1,000 x 800 mm, 2,500 x 1,250 mm, or 3,000 x 1,500 mm. It features a part weight of approximately 8, 45, or 70 kg and is available in multiple configurations and with customized grippers.
