Stäubli Robotics North America (Duncan, SC) announces the PF3 AGV is now available. The compact design handles payloads of up to three tons. The low-profile AGV also operates within very narrow spaces on the factory floor, maneuvers around obstacles, and carries out tasks with positioning precision of +/- 5mm.
According to the company, the PF3 uses standard software interfaces, and features an all-around LED strip and 45-degree touch panel. It is equipped with a 360-degree human safety scanner, five stop buttons, and collision avoidance sensor, and a status LED strip.
It uses a drawer maintenance concept; the parts are easily accessible from the sides of the AGV and can be changed in minutes. It is built on Stäubli’s patented drive unit.
