The Randbright series from Midwest Automation (Minneapolis, MN) performs centerless grinding, finishing, deburring, and cleaning for dry or wet applications. The series uses a variety of abrasive belts, finishing wheels, wire brushes, and buffing wheels for its dry and wet processes.
Both dry and wet models feature a rubber coated feed drum with hand-wheel adjusted skew angles, a mechanical counter, and an electronic speed feed drum control. They include a pneumatic loaded idler roller with a mechanical tracking system. Models are available in belt head, brush head, or buff head (dry only) configurations.
The wet models have a manual paper bed filter with a clean tank, sludge bin, and clean fluid return pump (single head model) or automatic paper bed filter with 10 gallon per minute flow rate and a 45 gallon tank (multiple head model). They include two flexible coolant nozzles per head and a stainless steel catch pan to contain water and coolant.
The Randbright series has a maximum part diameter range of 3-12 in. for dry and wet models, excluding the Randbright 10, a portable table top model for dry parts with a maximum part diameter of 1 in. The series includes motors from 5-15 hp and feed drums from 6 x 6 to 32 x 11.25 in.
