The Fab-Pak FW robotic welding cell from Lincoln Electric (Cleveland, OH) offers two-zone automated welding designed for large parts. The system features headstocks in each zone for part reorientation and a ferris wheel positioner that can rotate 180 degrees, providing a single loading and unloading access point.
The system includes Lincoln Electric’s Magnum Pro welding torch, suitable for MIG, MIG-pulsed, and flux-cored welding. The torch features Single Tool Center Point, which eliminates the need to reprogram when switching between 350 A and 550 A expendables. The Magnum Pro welding torch ensures strong electrical conductivity through full face contact as opposed to rotating connections.
The system includes Lincoln Electric’s Power Wave power source, with an output range of 5-550 A, and AutoDrive wire feeder. It can be outfitted with a fume extraction hood and system as well as an additional robot arm, depending upon the manufacturing requirements.
The Fab-Pak FW has a sweep of 1,000-1,500 mm (39-59 inches) and a span of 1,000-3,000 mm (39-118 inches). The system has a capacity of 750-1,500 kg (1,650-3,307 lbs.) per side.
