The EVO 4-roll plate bending machine from Haeusler (Duggingen, Switzerland) uses integrated artificial intelligence to bend plate. The new and patent-pending VSA technology allows the operator to bend either very heavy wall thicknesses or tight geometry for small diameters. The quick-reacting overrun brakes prevent plates from slipping out of the machine unintentionally.
The Haeusler Hybrid Drive System (HHDS) provides improved efficiency due to the usage of electrical motors in combination with planetary gearboxes. The HHDS allows a step-less adjustable rotation speed from 0-26 feet per minute.
The BENDtronic software from HAEUSLER enables control of the movements of the machine and the bending itself. The graphically supported software allows single-pass as well as multi-pass plate rolling and can be used for any kind of product shape, including cylinders, pipes, ovals, tanks, and S-shaped workpieces.
BENDtronic features the Capacity Calculator, which indicates whether the desired workpiece can be bent or not and calculates the utilization of the machine as well as the remaining straight ends and expected springback. The Cone Calculator calculates if and how an individual cone can be bent on the machine and the required inclination of the rolls and required pinch.
The EVO comes standard with continuous pressure adjustment of the bottom roll, electro-mechanic holding system for rotation of the top roll, and a standard cooling system for ambient temperatures up to 95 degrees F (with the option of a cooling system for ambient temperatures up to 113 degrees F). The series is compatible with plate widths of 82 inches to 160 inches depending on the model.
