Durma’s (Lake Orion, MI) PL-C is a plasma cutting machine designed to cut a wide range of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Features include a Hypertherm cutting head and AURORA plasma software, which ensure precise and quality cuts by enabling users to enhance plasma with extensive specifications and capabilities.
The system includes Durma’s Torch Height Control System, which is designed for plasma cutting machines and automatically sets cutting height between the torch and working part by using ark voltage. The Breakaway System protects the torch by stopping the system if there is an error or a system crash occurs. Hypertherm’s patent-pending True Hole technology for mild steel produces improved hole quality through a specific combination of the following parameters: amperage, material type, thickness, hole size, process gas type, gas flow, piercing methodology, lead in/out technique, cut speed, and timing.
The PL-C can be optionally equipped with bevel cutting equipment. It allows the user to cut up to 45 degree angles and automatically controls torch height to prevent distributions and collisions. Depending on the power source, it can handle up to 40 mm of material thickness. The optional filter units are designed for the extraction and filtration of dust, fume, and emissions generated during the CNC plasma cutting operations. Hot big particles and sparks are separated with an integrated spark separator system. Additional optional equipment includes drilling head equipment and pipe cutting equipment.
