The FG-400 NEO from Mazak Optonics (Elgin, IL) features a 3D cutting head that maximizes flexibility and range of movement. A-axis and B-axis capabilities of the laser head enable cutting of tube, pipe, and structural material at any desired angle.
Proprietary beam shape and diameter technology automatically adjusts beam diameter and allows users the capability to select the beam shape—where the power density of the laser is concentrated. The FG-400’s 3D laser and fiber technology combined provide optimal laser cutting on complex features and highly reflective material, such as copper and brass.
Four synchronized chucks travel and rotate simultaneously to prevent material distortion during processing. Specialized equipment, like supporters, enable high accuracy and cutting of long material. The standard model can load and unload 8 meters (26.2 feet).Â
Additional equipment options allow enhanced processing of material. Machines can be customized with a chain conveyor system, touch sensor, tapping unit, flat bar handling unit, and automatic workpiece measurement function to tailor machine operations for numerous applications.Â
