Bystronic (Hoffman Estates, IL) closes a gap between the small mobile bending cell with Xpert 40/80 and the large bending cell with Xpert Pro press brake. The company introduces the new ByCell Bend Star M with the ByBend Star 120 press brake for processing small and medium-sized parts. It is a modular system that is designed to grow with a fabrication business; the ByBend Star 120/2050 adds speed to the equation with a bend rate up to 0.98 inch per second.
The new combination system features a compact and flexible layout that optimizes bending workflow. While it is designed for small and medium-sized parts, larger can be bent thanks to the KUKA Iontec robot with 154 lb. payload. Automation of tooling and robotic grippers is optimized by the use of RFID technology.
According to the firm, the BySoft CAM Bend Robot enables users with little experience to start programming in a matter of minutes. Also, the Laser Angle Measurement System (LAMS) guarantees premium quality from the first part.
